KNICKPOINT respects intellectual property. We only publish documents we own, have permission to share, or that are freely shareable (for example public government documents), and we remove infringing material quickly.
Reporting a copyright problem
If you believe a document on KNICKPOINT infringes your copyright, send a notice to dericketale254@gmail.com with:
the link to the document on our site;
a description of your work and proof that you own it or act for the owner;
your name, phone number and email address;
a statement that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act.
You can also use the "Report document" button on any document page.
Please provide enough detail for us to identify the document and the work you say is infringed.
If you are acting for the owner, please explain your authority to act.
We may ask for additional information if your notice is incomplete or unclear.
We may share your notice with the person who uploaded the document, so they can respond.
Please do not send notices for material you do not own or are not authorised to act on.
If you are unsure whether a document infringes your rights, you may wish to seek legal advice before sending a notice.
What we do
We review every notice, normally within 48 hours. Infringing documents are unpublished and repeat infringers lose the ability to contribute.
When we receive a valid notice, we review the document and may unpublish or remove it while we investigate.
We normally respond to the person who sent the notice to confirm what action we have taken.
If we remove a document, we may notify the person who uploaded it and give them a chance to respond.
We keep records of notices and actions taken, as required by law and for our own records.
We may restore a document if the notice is withdrawn or if we conclude the document does not infringe.
Users who repeatedly upload infringing material may lose the ability to contribute, and may have their access to the site restricted or terminated.
We may report serious or repeated infringement to the relevant authorities.
We cooperate with rights holders and, where appropriate, with law enforcement.
If you believe your document was removed in error, you can contact us at dericketale254@gmail.com with details and we will review your response.
We aim to deal with all notices fairly, promptly and in accordance with applicable law, including the Kenya Copyright Act and, where applicable, the EU/UK rules on online content.
